Still fresh? Yep.
Well, that’s not completely true. I once slept. Not a lot, but enough that I was fully functional. Now, I’m a robot. A robot with a virus that causes a delay pronounced enough to slow down standard operations, but not harmful enough to derail any simple efforts. Overall, I’ve still attended sporting events, played rock and roll, trolled bars and stayed out late. Life as a person hasn’t ceased and life as a parent isn’t compromised. That’s the joy of the two parent household. That’s the joy of a relationship in which people care about each other. My wife is stellar.
The kid sleeps all day and gyrates all night. I hold him, feed him and listen to tunes/watch television. It’s not that far off from the pre-birth routine. However, it is rather interesting to watch 16 and pregnant while tending to my own kid.
The first born, the jack russell terrier, is doing well. He jumped on the couch, licked the kid, and hopped back down. He tries to consume formula.
It’s strange to not be teaching. I kinda miss it. I’m always wondering what certain students of mine are up to. You know, the ones that are capable of thinking.
