What Are We Testing Here?

They say it’s the perfect compliment.

Work is work, but with a wrench thrown-in. Room assignments swapped, standardized tests to be completed, stress served up for everyone. I cleaned my lab and sit amongst the buzzing machines and the loud students. I work. I am unstoppable at times.

Came home early and cleaned the home as well. Between the baby shower and the general chaos of the last six or seven weekends, things have been stagnant. Needs to keep on top of that. Can’t keep staying out until one or two on Saturday. This weekend I will stay in the entire weekend. Stay in, stay out of trouble, accomplish a few things.

Patrick is moving to the neighborhood. Dude is picking up a house a few blocks over from mine. We’re going to skate to each other’s houses. We’re going to watch sports, smoke cigars, and stare into the sun together.

In the evening, things are crystal clear. In the morning, I just want to get back into bed. The new weather doesn’t help.
