The David Bowie and Trent Reznor collaboration has been in my head all day. I went to Youtube to find a video to watch, release the obsession for the time being. Instead, I ended up listening to Fugazi. Repeater + 3 songs was momentually to my development as a person, musician and consumer. I have this album memorized. I could play the whole disc on the little record player lodged in the back of my head. Just close my eyes, and listen to them somewhere in DC, just bashing people over their fat heads.

Its refreshing to hear basslines that aren’t excessive or merely dotted root notes. Still not sure if the vocal phrasing is tolerable. The tone is nice, especially early in the morning. Most of my listening has been early in the morning, unfortunate due to the fact that that limits my options. You best believe I can’t handle fast tempos at 5:15am.

There is a natural romance to this video. Watching him run his fingers across her neck is beyond romantic. Often, I am pulled so strongly toward things that I can’t believe I actually enjoy. This is one of these things. There isn’t even anything that interesting about the tune.
